October 3rd, 2018
Three executives from across the powersports industry — Roadrunner Financial, Speed Leasing LLC, and Riders Share — will join forces to identify and adapt to emerging opportunities in the market during a panel at PowerSports Finance 2018.
The conference will take place Nov. 6-7 at the Omni Fort Worth. To register for the event, click here.
The panel will feature Jason Guss, president of Roadrunner Financial; Hasham Malik, founder and chief executive officer of Speed Leasing; and Guillermo Cornejo, co-founder of peer-to-peer rental company Riders Share. The three will discuss the latest opportunities for lenders and powersports companies in a panel titled “Identifying New Opportunities for a Changing Rider Demographic.”
Baby Boomers are transitioning out of riding motorcycles and OEMs are trying to find ways to appeal to a new rider demographic. Financing is just one way to reach these millennials, who typically don’t have the extra income to spend on powersports. The topics of discussion at the panel will include ideas and strategies for diversification, how to market to millennials, and crafting finance programs for the emerging electric motorcycles.
Jason Guss is the president of Roadrunner Financial, a technology-enabled full-spectrum powersports and OPE lender that has partnerships with over 30 manufacturers. Guss is also the co-founder of Octane Lending — the parent company of Roadrunner — a software company that offers a lender aggregator to help dealers quickly secure competitive financing for their customers. Before creating Octane Lending, Guss was in the Corporate Strategy Group at Capital One where he completed projects in retail banking, auto lending, and brokerage strategy.
Hasham Malik, co-founder and CEO of Speed Leasing Hasham Malik has over 20 years in structured finance investment banking and capital markets. In 2017, he founded Speed Leasing, which specializes in leasing Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Prior to founding Speed Leasing, Malik launched Easy Fleet Management, a commercial livery vehicle leasing company focused on the New York City outer borough taxi market and he served as senior vice president and chief capital markets officer for peachtree financial solutions.
Guillermo Cornejo is the co-founder and chief executive of Riders Share, a peer-to-peer motorcycle rental company. Before creating the company in 2014, Cornejo was the manager of collections strategy and analytics at Hyundai Capital America. He’s also held roles at GM Financial and Nissan North America.
